Fix Ashy foundation + Cover Hyper-pigmentation (not cakey)

Hi my loves! In todays video, I show you how to cover hyper-pigmentation and stop your foundation from looking ashy! I know as a brown girl, we all struggle with finding not only the right foundation shade, but finding something that doesnt make us look ashy! I have been struggling with a different texture and hyperpigmentation on my chin area for pretty much my whole life and this is just my way to cover it :) I just wanted to say, even though we might have hyper-pigmentation and our skin doesnt look perfect, it shouldnt prevent us from feeling perfect on the inside. You should love yourself for who you are, flaws and all! Those flaws are what make you beautiful in your own way and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being imperfect! Beauty on the inside lasts forever :) Hope you enjoy!

Hi my loves!

Today I am going to be swatching the new Colourpop Ultra Matte lips. I wanted to get this swatch video out to you sooner, but they sold out SO quick that I didnt get a chance. They are now back in stock, which I AM SOOO happy about, because I can finally share the swatches on my lips and tell you some of my must have colours!

I am a huge fan of liquid lipsticks, I dont think I even reach for my “normal” lipsticks anymore lol! They are a little tricky to wear sometimes if you dont know the proper technique to apply them. In the video I share my tips on how I like to wear liquid lips, and hopefully if you apply those techniques, you will love liquid lips just as much as I do!

The great think about a liquid lip is that it is super long wearing! Its literally like paint for your lips, which in my opinion is awesome because, I dunno about you, but I love food and am always eating, and that usually means I eat my lipstick off too.. LOL not with these!

So anyways, moving on to my review of the Coloupop Ultra Matte lips! Its not secret that I am a big fan of liquid lips, so when I got my hands on these babies, I was like YESSS lets play!

I have quite a few liquid lips in my collection, from Stila, Laura Mercier, LA Girl, Kat Von D, etc etc, but I have to say the formula on these is something that I really enjoy. My favorite liquid lip comes from Kat Von D and the formula on these CP Ultra Matte lips is very similar. These are more of a liquid formula (think more watery) compared to a creamy formula like the Stila ones. I personally prefer a liquid formula because i really dislike the “texture” of my lips lol and sometimes a creamy formula makes the lipstick look like its jus sitting on my lips instead of nicely blended (does that make sense?)

Dont get me wrong though, even though the formula is more liquidy, doesnt mean that it isnt jam packed with pigment! Thats one of the many great things about this collection :)

All of the colours are pretty opaque, except for 3 of them, which are Sundae, Pacific and Highball, but with that being said, they still cover the lip pretty well.

I dont recommend layering these liquid lips, as they are insanely matte and dry pretty quickly, so layering might cause patchiness. Since they dry really quick, I suggest applying a layer on your bottom lip first, redip, and then apply a layer on your top lip, and then wait for them to completely dry.

These are only $6 which is a steal and I highly recommend them, especially at this price-point :)

Some of my absolute favourites are: Shimmy, Trap, Donut, Bumble, Pacific, Mars, Zipper, Tulle, LAX and Limbo.

All of the colours are beautiful, but for me personally those are the ones I gravitate towards whenever Im getting ready :)

I hope you all enjoyed the video!

Love you!
