Hey Guys!
This has been a super requested! I usually go to the salon like twice a year, because hair as long as mine is NOT cheap to get cut, and if I went every single time I needed a trim.. girrrllll I would be broke!!
So, I am a licensed cosmetologist so Im pretty confident in cutting my own hair 
It’s really easy to cut your own hair you just need to practise and make sure that you cut it in even sections and not all over the place!
If you are going to be cutting your hair at home regularly, then please invest in some good scissors! Walmart carries scissors for $10 but long term wise, you dont want to use these scissors. I suggest investing in a pair of good salon quality shears that range between $60-90. I know that sounds really pricey JUST for a pair of scissors but honestly, theyll last you for a really really long time.. if not forever! And you can get them resharpened if you feel like theyre getting a little dull (which wont happen as much since you wont be cutting hair as much as a hairdresser does!)
The scissors that I am using are from a brand called Cricket.

Hi Hunnie! Honestly, it depends on how much heat you put on your hair.. I suggest every month giving it a little trim (u dont have to cut off a lot just the dead ends) so that split ends dont end up going up the hairshaft
Not sure why the previous message cut off but here’s my rosewater q!: so I made the rosewater but it doesn’t have a “sweet” rose smell but more of a “green” smell of this makes sense.. Is this normal?? The roses smelled sweet when I bought them.. Thanks!!

I find that the good smell comes after I put it in my hair but everyone is different dont let the smell throw you off tho, it still has amazing benefits for you! xo

this haircut is GREAT for curly hair! the only ting I can suggest, is if you do have curly hair, please point cut the ends instead of cutting it straight across. Curly hair can tend to look heavy if you cut the layer straight across

Hey hunnie! ur so lucky u live in miami!! I loved it there! I hope i can visit there again soon!! The only thing i can recommend is that you have a leave in conditioner in ur hair and if you don’t like leave in conditioners, theres a serum by bed head .. i think its called heat and humidity resistant serum thats really really good for pro ducting ur hair from the sun and it good for frizz as well! hope that helps! xo

Dude, your hair rocks. We have identical hair, literally, from colour/ thickness down to length. Unfortunately it’s not layered the way I want it to so if it’s okay with you I’ll be saving pics of your hair to take to my stylist the next time I get my hair did
Quick question- do you know of anyone else I can google to look for similar styles, especially with hair this long? Typing in “long layers” and variations of that just shows me hair that’s barely halfway down the back.

Honestly, googling doesn’t help at all because it gives so many different random styles.. U want to google any celebrity that you can think of that has long hair and try and make sure that that celebrity has the same face shape as you so you’ll know how the hair will look

Hey hun! thank you so mucH! You should be cutting your hair regularly like maybe every 1-2 months so that you can get the dead/split ends off. If you don’t cut your hair, then the split end will go up the hair shaft and make your hair look like its damaged.. so try to get it trimmed even half an inch every 1-2 months.. if your ends get thin then maybe your hair dresser is using a razor to cut your hair or is point cutting your hair.. she needs to use regular scissors. Hope that helps! xo

Hi Farah, thanks for this great tutorial –For those of us who want/need side swept bangs instead of center part, would you recommend cutting the same way? Ie, can we just part our bangs after we finish cutting from following this tutorial? or should we not divide the hair in the middle at the beginning of your tutorial or when we are cutting bangs? Your hair cutting video’s are spectacular! THX Hair turned out SO lovely after following the one where you cut your sister’s hair into rounded layers. =D As I grow my hair and it gets longer I will be following this one. One question – I could not cut the fringe with side sliding with the scissors because I really do not know how to do this… This video incorporates a lot of the scissor sliding through the longer layers & I want to get the cut just right. People I’ve seen who have tried this on their own end up with holes or really funny looking hair, yours is PERFECT.
How do I accurately do the scissor sliding / blending thing?

I know in your video you say you can do this cut with dry or wet hair, but I have really curly hair. Would you say for curlies it is best to cut with dry hair that is already straightened to get better length check?

I’m currently growing my hair and its at that length that I can’t really get away with one length I followed your video and it turned out great (my hair is shoulder length) so I only cut off a little for the layers but still now it has a style and I followed your fringe tutorial and it looks amazing thank you!

Hi, I’ve been going to a hairdressers now for ages and they never seem to get what it is I actually want, but this video has hit the nail on the head, its perfect
My daughters christening is in 2 days time and I really needed my hair cutting but my salon was booked up
so I tried this and its the BEST ever cut I’ve had so far 
My aunty is a hairdresser and gave me a pair of her scissors as a gift awhile ago, so I mainly use them on my childrens hair, but from now on, I wont be going to a hairdressers again, as this cut is perfect, my hair looks great, the layers are just right and its quick and easy to keep up!
