Hey Guys!
I just recently went “indian” shopping with my mom the other day and I saw some henna and thought.. my babies my like seeing a henna tutorial! I dont usually apply henna… the one and only time I actually did apply henna was at my wedding and that was only because everyone really wanted me to haha.. I have nothing against henna I think it looks absolutely beautiful, but im allergic to it
so wherever I apply it my skin usually rises and becomes really really itchy.. imagine.. BRAIL.. thats how it looks! BUTTTTT.. even tho Im allergic (not seriously allergic) I JUST HADDD TO and always will make a tutorial that my babies would like!
This is a really easy, simple way for beginners to apply henna.. and thats with WHITE EYELINER! I always thought it was really hard to apply henna too like how do you even stabilize your hand.. and I am by no means a professional henna applier, but when I was first starting out, I found that white eyeliner is much easier to use and then apply the henna!
Please please please keep in mind that when you’re purchasing henna, make sure you purchase the powder, or the one that comes in the cone like I had. You know its NATURAL and REAL henna when the color is army green/muddy brown.. any henna that is black is NOT SAFE for you. I know a lot of people really like the look of black henna, and I DO TOO.. when I was a kid I loved it.. but Black henna has a chemical in it thats the chemical of HAIR COLOR and that has known to mess up kidneys and cause burns and permanent scars… and you DO NOT want that.. and I DONT want that for you either!!!
Before applying henna, please remember to do a patch test to see how your skin reacts to it.
As the henna dries, it becomes flakey.. thats when you know its ready to flake off or wash off. The color should be a beautiful reddish brown to orange color (depending on how good the henna is and how long youve kept it on) On my skin for example, on certain parts it turns out a beautiful reddish brown and on other parts it turns out orange
I hope you guys enjoyed that little tutorial.. if you would like to see more heavier designs of henna or would like to see more henna tutorials in general.. then leave me a comment below!
I hope all of you who are in the East Coast in the wrath of Hurricane Sandy are SAFE! Please take care of yourselves! Ill be praying for everyone
XO BESOS

Hey Farruuu..
well I already know how to apply henna, i do it for my family like on eid..
well the main point is that u made it soooo much easier for the people who dont know how to apply it.. I soo appreciate that..
and youre right abt the black henna, as my sister got it on her engagement and she got a reallyyy bad reaction, her skin got extremly puffy, itchy and all red , she had to go to a dermatologist to get treatment fort he reaction…and its been 2 years now she still has that henna design on her hands..!!
Eid-ul-Azha mubarak sweety..
and u know what i applied henna for my family n was so tired n late that i didnt want to put for my self, bt my husband kepy insisting to put it.. when i told him i was too tired so he said” chalo mai tumhe mehendi laga deta hoon”
and i was like ” r u serious?” he said ” haan meri drawing achi hai” and i said ok…:P
hehehe bt it was cute looking at the end… I wish i could send you a picture…:D
thn all that happened was sooo funny… i kept laughing the whole time he was putting mehndi on my hand cz he didnt even know how to hold the cone or the design..

Hi Farah!! I love how you keep busting out amazing skills to teach us – thank you SO much! I would love to see more henna designs, particularly a traditional Indian one and a traditional Arabic one, if you can! I’ve only had it on twice – once at a school fair when they got a lady to come in and do it, and another time when I went to India for my best friend’s cousin’s wedding. I’ve fallen in love with the stuff!! Even the smell!
Anyway thank you so much (again) for being so generous with your knowledge, I’m so glad I found you on YouTube!

Hi Farah, V. nice henna design. I posted a comment on ur ‘how to grow eyelashes thicker’ video so plz can u read it and reply. Thank u. Frm minal x
Hi Farah! Great video! U r SO multi talented!
I know u love hearing feedback about ur tips & remedies so here goes… the almond oil & peppermint essential oil treatment is amazing! When I use it about twice a week my hair feels fabulous! Like really hydrated!
However I do mix a little bit of castor oil into it but I’m not sure how much is the right amount so could u plz tell me the correct proportions?

so that was great too!
but I’ve kinda been slacking on that one because I have ran outta the ingredients
Ur remedies have helped me so thank u my dear friend
And ur more than welcome to see any of mine if u want
Thank u for all ur tips – keep them coming & take care xxx
The rosemary leave in conditioner is also fantastic! I use it the times when I don’t use conditioner in the shower and it has helped my dandruff by a significant amount!
And most recently, I’ve been applying castor oil to my eyelashes and I’m starting to notice a difference! YAY!
I have used the apple cider vinegar treatment in the past but it made my hair fall so stopped using that (maybe I wasn’t gentle enough to my scalp & rubbed too vigorously) and the smell was so strong too but I do think that when I did use it, it did clarify my scalp
I have used the turmeric mask and yes it SO does leave my skin so soft like butter
Anyway, I hope this feedback helped!
This henna is absolutely beautiful! I put it on my sister and her friends every Eid and I’ll be sure to try some of ur designs out when you put some more up!
Hey farrah! Thanks for thisssss , luv the design!! Love your posts as always I learn a lot!I was just getting more knowledge about henna.do you henna your hair? Besides the color do you know the benefits?? I would love if you could do a henna hair video!!!!! Thank you so much for all your tips! Xoxo
hey Farah love your videos!
I was pleasantly surprised to see you put a tutorial on henna! AWESOME! can’t wait to try. I was curious to know, have you ever used any type of henna for your hair? I’ve used henna at this store named Lush Cosmetics, i think Canada has them too, but I was wondering if you’ve used any other type?
Take care girl!
hey Farah can you show how to make henna without the mix out of scratch also can you show how to make Indian food because once i went to this Indian restaurant and i try this dish it was so good i wanna learn how to make it and do u no how to make Pakistani food because i tried it and it was so GOOD many say there food is spicy but im used to but i think one is called samosa that was good those triangle things. thanks bye!
oxoxoxo BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved the video!!! Where did you buy your henna or what the brand? (:
Hi farah,
I love this video and you are my favourite makeup guru! I fell inlove with your videos when i can across one. Anyway, i was wondering where you can buy henna. I know you said you got yours at a indian grocery store but i don’t think my naborhood has one. I was wondering of u could get it at like a pharmcey? If you could list other places you can buy henna that would be so helpful
Once again i love your videos and you rock! I would love to see more henna videos.

Hi Farah! I was just wondering where can you buy the henna in the U.S.? Is there a specific store that would carry it? Also is there a specific brand that you should buy?
