This is my first time writing a blog post without actually making a video.. so be easy on me! I always like to try new things and new products that are out so I thought when I do pick up some goodies, I could review them for you guys to see if you guys would like to grab them as well!
This post is going to be about lip plumpers.. now I KNOWWW I don’t need any lip plumping since my lips are decently sized anyway, but I always get curious whenever I see a lip plumper and wonder if they actually work. Ive tried out quite a few and found that they just ended up being like lip glosses, or they’d tingle for a minute but didnt really do much.
One of my favorites has been the Buxom Lipglosses, but honestly, I feel like they do give your lip a little minty tingle, but they dont really plump plump them yknow? So I was at Sephora a while ago and I saw this product by Too Faced called the Lip Injection Extreme.. and I was like WOW LIP INJECTION EXTREME! Thats a pretty extreme name for a lipgloss/lip plumper.. So like a kid in a candy store I got excited and I decided to purchase it and try it out to see if it actually works.
BOY was I amazed!
Now like I said before, I dont really need any lip plumping.. but I was always curious how long lip plumpers work and if they DO WORK.. and I always wanted the outside corners of my mouth to be a little bit more plump.

SOOOO I tried the Too Faced Lip Injection.
First off, let me start off by giving a little information about the product.
This is taken directly off the Sephora website:
Too Faced uses a potent quadra-delivery system that combines vitamin E, collagen-booster MaxiLip and Dehydrated Marine Sponge to stimulate blood flow, promote fullness and re-hydrate with the body’s own moisture for a long-lasting effect. Moisturizing doses of avocado and jojoba oil condition to ensure a smooth, plump pout.
It claims to give instant plumping action and it also claims that it makes your lips more plump and supple.
After I put it on for the first time.. it was BURNING!!! Im kinda weird so I like a burning sensation on my lips, but for those of you who are uncomfortable with the tingly burn, this stuff is INTENSE! The burning/tingling lasts for about.. 10 minutes.. and LITERALLY after 10 minutes you will see that your lips DEFINITELY get plump! I was in SHOCK when I first tried this! My sister asked if I got punched in the lip and I was like NOPE! Lip plumper!!
The INSTANT action was CRAZY! I do admit the tingling/burning is the worst part.. but after about 10 minutes, your lips cool down and they stay plump for quite a while.

It sells for about $28 for a .2 oz tube.. which I think for a lip plumper is quite enough product. You only need to apply it twice a day, morning and night, and youll notice lasting effects (at least I did).
The only downside to this lip plumper is that I feel when the tube is running out, its a little hard to get the product out.
ANOTHER issue I must warn you about before you go out and buy this, is the fact that if you get this ANYWHERE else on your body, you will get super itchy and swollen in that area. Here is a picture of my hand that I kissed after I had the lip plumper on and it became swollen (even after 10 minutes of having it on my lips). Its a little hard to see in the picture but an outline of my lips was left on my hand and it was burning for quite some time, so just be careful of that when you’re wearing this lip plumper.
Honestly though, I think for those of you who want fuller lips without surgery, Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme is HANDS DOWN the best lip plumper that I have ever used! Give it a try!

Hi Farah! Wow, I can’t believe it did that to your hand – looks kinda scary haha! But I always feel like my bottom lip is bigger than my top lip so I’m always trying to find good lip plumpers to plump up the top one and get my lips more in proportion – so as scary as this looks I defo need to get my hands on it!! It’s so annoying though because we don’t have Sephora in the UK
and Too Faced isn’t a brand you see around much – it’s only available in some places 
but I’m definitely gonna get it online!

Love your vids hun, they’re awesome – my skin has recently been getting really dry – like to the point where my skin is going flaky, I think it’s because of the cold weather because my skin is usually quite oily :s so I’m at a bit of a loss as to what to do – I’ve been moisturising like crazy but I’m getting breakouts now as well and its just so dry – I was wondering if you had any advice at all?

Heyyy.. How long do you think they kept your lips plumped for?
You can get too faced in Debenhams and boots
it’s £18.50 at boots bu debenhams have 10% off cosmetics at the moment so you could try there 
hope that helps. Oh and about your skin, does your scalp get really dry in winter too? as it could be a form of dandruff that can spread onto the face, don’t worry its no dangerous 
i tend to get try skin in winter and if my scalp is bad then it tends to move onto my forehead and eyebrows, don’t over moisturize as i find that doesn’t help. Drink plenty of water so you are keeping hydrated, and try to use products that are like paraben free so you’re not putting on unnecessary chemicals on to your skin. Have you hear of Lush? they do a tea tree toner that works wonders on oily skin and also on breakouts. Hope that helps 
I’m guessing what will happen if you kiss someone with it on your lips ? after what happened to your hand your lips could be the ultimate weapon haha

Hi hunnie! Yeaaaaa the lip plumper is kinda crazy!!! ur right if you have kids and are giving your kids constant kissies then i really really dont suggest it! they’ll get itchy and burning sensations which is not good!!! I just put the burning out there as a warning for those of you who didnt know what a lip plumper can do to the rest of your skin.. but honestly, this product is usually only supposed to be used right before bed so it shouldnt give any issues

Its soo funny that you mentioned the hand thing! I always use this plumper (tried them ALL…and this IS the best) before putting on my lip stain. So I kiss the top of my hand to remove the excess after I’ve let it soak for a while. I noticed that I was getting a strange red mark on my hand and started thinking I was allergic to my vitamins or food …..and now it clicks…LMAO! Thanks for solving my mystery mark hahaha Also…I Absolutely LOVE your natural hair and skin care recipes… I am on a journey to growing my hair out and am doing one of your hair treatments as Im typing this! I read once in an article that some lip plumpers actually have PEPPERS in them to cause your lips to irritate and get swollen or “plump”. If I can find that again, I’ll share with you. While I am terrified of getting this lip injection gloss all over myself, I think I’m going to buy it for parties & weddings. My family has tons of parties and all the ladies get SUPER decked out to the point where everyone looks like a bride (including the elderly women) and it’s getting tough to keep up to it hahaha. But Allhumdulilah for NATURAL beauty, and almond oil. LOVE YOU!
Most women (at least the ones I know) like the idea of having nice full natural looking lips. Since store bought lip plumpers are usually pretty pricey, this homemade version not only works just like a lip plumper should but it is super inexpensive to make yourself!
The secret ingredient that most of the expensive lip plumpers have in them is cinnamon oil. Cinnamon oil works by stimulating blood flow, which makes it the perfect (natural) lip-plumping agent. The more you add the more your lips will tingle and plump.
What you will need:
Clear unscented lip gloss
%100 pure cinnamon essential oil
Pour 7-8 drops of cinnamon oil into the bottle of clear lip gloss. Trust me, this stuff is powerful so you do not want to over do it. I am a total dummy and put the cinnamon oil on my lips without diluting it with the lip gloss because I was so impressed with how it plumped…ya do not do that.
Put the cap back on and make sure you evenly mix up the oil. Apply to your lips…and watch the plumping magic happen!
